Dr. Chen-Yao Su has a D.D.S in Dentistry, Taipei Medical University and a Ph.D in Oral Anatomy, Kanagawa Dental University, Japan, and performed 3 years of post-doctoral research work in microcirculation at Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica located in Taipei, Taiwan.

He is currently a full professor and Director of Ph.D program, Department of Dentistry, and Head of Biomedical Research Units, National Yang-Ming University, Taipei, Taiwan. He is an Organizing Committee member of 2nd-5th World Congress of Regenerative Medicine(WCRM) and currently is the member of the Board of Directors of World Federation of Preventive & Regenerative Medicine (WFPRM) and the vice president of 5th World Congress of Preventive and Regenerative Medicine(WCPRM). He is the founding president of International Society of Blood Biomaterials (ISBB), currently is the 1st President of Taiwan Society of Blood Biomaterials (TSBB), and speaker & coordinator of ICOI workshops. He is the author of a book entitled “As Good As New-A Consumer’s Guide to Dental Implants”, Chinese edition, and of the book entitled “Biomaterials for Stem Cell Therapies the Current Status and the vision for the future.

He is the author of more than 50 scientific publications on bone regeneration and platelet growth factors and protein purification techniques, and an inventor of more than 10 European and US patents on lyophilized platelets products and thrombin stabilization methods, as well as virally inactivated GF fractions. He has developed several new therapeutic biological products currently used in Europe and US and has been at the forefront of research and development in the field of haematology.

Dr. Chen-Yao Su is also the Director of Formose Blood Research Centre in Taipei and an advisor to several biotechnology companies and other international organizations. He provides his services to blood biotechnology industry as well as to government institutions.
